IJMETA's Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Dr. Antonio Silva Sprock, expressed his enthusiasm for the adoption of DORA, stating: "We recognize the need for continuous improvement in the process of assessing scholarly research. In this sense, DORA offers a solid framework that will guide us in implementing a fair, thorough, and professional process that can ensure that researchers' contributions are evaluated impartially and carefully".
IMJETA establishes guidelines to ensure the quality and originality of research. These guidelines include:
- We do not promote the journal's impact factor
- We provide metrics and indicators for published articles
- We adopt the CRediT taxonomy for author contributions
- We ensure that all reference data deposited in Crossref is open
- We require authors to make all key data available in accordance with the FAIR principles
- We follow data citation principles
- We encourage the use of unique identifiers (e.g., RRIDs)
- We require authors to use ORCID
- We publish peer review reports and author responses alongside their manuscripts
- We examine ways to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in the editorial process
By adopting DORA, IMJETA strengthens its commitment to promoting fairer, more transparent, and comprehensive research assessment practices. By incorporating this guideline, IMJETA continues to play a key role in the dissemination of high-quality scholarly findings, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge and research worldwide.
